Thanks!

I'll look into what they offer. Thankfully my car is a lot less expensive than yours lol.

I use OpenTrack for track insurance, the hagertys track I believe is another party, when I got a quote once it wasn’t from their website, I got redirected, I also used Lockton, but 150k value max and is pricier than OpenTrack.

Chief, thanks for the cleaned up pic, that looks much better

im at sebring now and weather is outstanding, one of the session was a total train, I was waiting for someone to come by and hole punch my ticket.

Chief, do you think you’ll come down here to run Sebring at some point?

Sunday, they had a car meet at sebring, looked like 99% Honda, I wanted to stop by but it ended before my last session, so I only took a couple of pics from the view area above the pits.

No, sorry Phil, zero interest in that track. I want to hit VIR and Road America, perhaps Road Atlanta as well. I grew up at the Glen, I need elevation change in a course for max fun.Just signed up for an HPDE 5/27-28. I may sign up for another one 4/29th, I haven't decided yet but all at WGI.

Common misconception about sebring. Turn 1 and 17 have more elevation change than the corkscrew at Laguna. Sure it’s only 1inch at a time, but if you add it up, it’s huge!

The Glen seems really awesome, lots of drivers I asked about it love it. What about Daytona? I have never been, PCA doesn’t run there very often.
Road Atlanta, I have seen too many wrecks there, so I’m a bit scared. I want to drive COTA, but that’s really far for me.

I drove back to Buffalo from Houston in 1980 and swore I'd never make that trip again, besides, that track really doesn't do much for me.

I’d like to feel the front straight uphill from inside a car, esses look fun to drive as well. It also looks like it has a fair amount of runoff which sebring often doesn’t.

another cool thing about sebring, you can enjoy 98F with 100% humidity! You really get the full effect when you drive slowly through the pits pulling off the track after a session.

If you make the trip to VIR let me know, maybe we can grab a beer (or catch a race if the timing is right).

VIR is pretty awesome. I was passenger once there during lunch fun runs for one of my cousins SCCA touring races there. Is the oak tree still there? I think someone told me it died.

It fell. They planted a new one, not sure of it's status though.

The inner shoulder of the rear tires were worn a bit past acceptable wear so I replaced them with Michelins. While at it, I had the brakes flushed with Motul RBF600. Good to go for the two upcoming HPDE's I'm doing.

What tires did you have on before? How many miles + track days?
How are your brakes doing? I was getting close with my pads and rotors so I had to change mine

when are your HPDE? Do you do 2 day weekends?

I had the P Zeros on before, 4 days of tracking it, 13500 on the odo. Brakes checked out fine, I'm gentle on the brakes, even my instructors were impressed with how little brake I seemingly used. I'm looking hard at flashing the ECU with either an M-Engineering, Cobb or APR tune, gotta finish analyzing choices. I've got HPDE's 5/27-28 and another 8/28-29 at the Glen. Yes on 2 day events and I'm in the process of waffling back and forth on picking pads but I am more likely than not going to order these and yes, I know the second set says "Boxster" but fitment guide on another vendor's site sez these will work:

Ha! That’s funny we have nearly the same mileage!

I have girodisc rotors and ferodo pads now. I was a bit early on my change, I figured if I go to sell it, I can just go back to stock discs and pads which I kept.

if this is your first set of tires, you did well, I’m on my second set and probably not far from 3rd. Did you go Michelin pilot 4 or 5 S, or you went all out for cup tires? With the Pirelli tires, did you get on the radio and say “I got no grip on these tires man” (use your Lewis H. Voice).

have a great time at the track! Post some pics!

how is your garage btw, did you get power there yet?

Edit: I wanted to add, just so you can expect it, the ferodo pads require more pressure to stop when cold. Especially when new, now it doesn’t seem too bad, but when I first got them, it really took me by surprise. Also finding a road to bed them near me was no easy task…

I got the Pilot Sport 4S is the way I went; garage electric service should be done within next 2 weeks and I anticipate having the pads burnished for an extra cost to help them bed in more efficiently.

Good choice on the tire. I've been running the Pilot Sport 4S on both of my cars for a while and been very happy with them.

I agreed, great choice. I have those on my TL, no track or Autocross experience with them, but great grip on road to avoid obstacles wet or dry.
I’m looking forward to get your thoughts on the tire!

Do you use your Track Precision app with your car? I tried on mine, it loads up but it never starts recording when I cross the start finish…

edit: thanks for the video share, I didn’t realize they were so generous with runoff at the glen.

I haven't used that app but I'll have to try and remember to next time. Some turns at the Glen have no run off, 2,3,4 for example; same for 7,8,9 & 11.
