Right Side Mirror 08'

I recently purchased an 08' RDX. Everytime I put the car in reverse (several times per day), the right side mirror turns down (to see the curb I presume), but then when it returns up, I lose the previous position of the mirror. Is this poor forsight on the part of the engineers or is something wrong with my particular car? It's really annoying to have to reposition that mirror everytime I get back on the freeway. I appreciate your response.

Mine returns to the previous position.

my returns to the previous position as well.
but you can disable this option by simply moving the mirror control switch to either left or right position (don't remember which one, but one of them will disable it )

Moving the mirror control all the way to the right causes the right side mirror to tilt down when you reverse. Any other position disables this feature.

It's kind of weird but it seems to work properly now; right after I started the thread. Maybe it was just my imagination to begin with? Thanks for the responses. I didn't know I could turn the feature off.

No. I was right the first time; it doesn't return to previous position. Damn! Another trip to the dealer!

Try setting the mirror to the position you want then press and hold the memory button (#1 or #2). It should remember it now.

I haven't tried it yet but this sounds like the answer I was looking for. Thank you

You can disbale them by simply moving the mirror control at the middle. (Not left or right position)
