Center Console Lid Leather

09 RDX, the leather on the center console lid starting lifting , while I was in for a B1 I pointed it out to service writer, the Acura dealer agreed to replace it under warranty. They have seen this before. They were very good about it. Take a look at yours

ive been reading up and learning a lot on this forum - and yes, this is covered by TSB. - there's a list somewhere posted - i printed them all out before buying my RDX to see what's the potential reliability issues and compared it with the german cuvs... :)

what do you mean by "lifting"? like bubbling? or the panel that's actually wrapped in leather is separating from the console lid?

Same thing happened to my '08. I took it to the dealer and they agreed to replace it however it was back ordered. They just received it and I am going today to get it put on. I hope the replacement does not do the same thing.

5 -6 large bubbles. Acura is replacing the hinged lid, really the only way to fix it.

In the case of minor bubbling, one reported using an iron at medium heat with a towel so as not to burn the vinyl, and it re-heated the vinyl enough to stick it back and remove the bubble. Proceed with caution. Too much heat and....
