thanks for answer !! I was thinking maybe the male voice would be more responsive to my commands. I was beginning to think the female voice didnt like me, she never does want I want or understands me>> sigh

You would need the Acura tech to wipe and reload your Navi with a previous version. Going to an older Navi version might cause other problems with your hands free, daylight savings, map data, traffic info, weather info, bug fixes and other unknown problems.
My 06 TSX had a Navi disk from 2005 and I updated last spring to a 2009 disk. I think I would be safe to go back down to the 2005 disk if I wanted to. I'm not sure if your RDX (not sure of which year you have) could take an older map version before the vehicle/Navi manufacture date.

Voice change
Still no fix for this?
Has anyone been able to pinpoint where on the Navi disc the voice files are stored? I would think it a simple enough matter to swap the female voice files on the new disc with the male voice files from the old disc.
or are there no voice 'files' per se? does anyone know if the voice synthesizer uses files for the words or a certain configuration profile for the tone of voice generated?
