yep, that's been the problem/complaint with the rdx build quality. happens fm time to time, and if not that there's others -ive had my fair share. suffice to say, nothing unusual and we cant expect "perfect" vehicles. it's not the best paint job relative to audi/mercedes but hey, acura's never been noted for its paint. id be happy if it doesnt start rusting in 10 yrs time. - at least the bumper will not rust

Same spots on both sides. I'm going to let THEM use the touch up paint when I bring it in for my first service and see how it turns out.

There must be too much movement in the bumper to cause the two maiting surfaces to rub.

Ugh....I am seriously considering a 2010 RDX to replace my 2004 TSX, but I do not want more problems, especially on a new vehicle. This scares me a bit.

im sure you've read about the build quality issues that we're all encountering as the months/years go by? but overall, i still rank the rdx as pretty good. despite rattles, minor nicks here and there, etc...

Warranty issue

Seems to me that if your 2010 was painted by the dealer prior to your purchase for any reason, that this is a warranty issue and any Acura dealer could address the problem and repair it.

After looking over the whole vehicle (2010 Palladium) I noticed the paint peeling on the "roof spoiler" also. It seems the only place it is occurring is on "plastic" parts. All "metal" surfaces are fine on my RDX, along with my previous TSX and RSX.

I'm having the same problem as gpower07 is with my 2010 RDX. In my case after 6 months and 9,000 miles. The paint is peeling in the front bumper cover seam on the driver's side at the headlight and at the wheel arch. Funny thing is that my 2009 Pilot which has a TSB for paint chipping in the seam of the bumper cover due to parts rubbing together hasn't had the problem. I have an appointment next week for my dealer to inspect the problem.

The paint job on my CBP is the best on any car I've owned since my '97 Integra. That includes other Acuras, a Lexus, and a BMW. I wonder if there is something wrong with the chemical make-up of the white paint that is causing those owners issues...

Don't say that - my SO will torment me more for getting white.

I just noticed mine ('08) is chipping from the headlamp rubbing against it.

Same problem with mine in the same spot as Techgirl (on both sides). Have had my 2010 RDX for about 9 months with only ~3500 miles on it. Pointed it out when at the dealer for an oil change, and was later advised that this has been a common problem with the RDX (apparently for all model years). Because the front bumper and wheel arch pieces are so tight where they meet, it can cause the paint to crack / peel, even in normal driving. Dealer said that with past models, they had a fix where they would insert "spacers" between those pieces (after they repainted them under warranty). However, was told that on "newer" models (2010, 2010 and 2009???) the body structure won't allow for the spacers. Soooo, service guy said Honda Corporate is trying to come up with another solution, and I'll be advised when that happens. I really like my dealership and their service department, but I have my doubts about being kept in the loop on this. Not sure if I should keep checking back with the dealer every few months, or contact Honda Corporate directly.

My 2010, 6 months, 6700 miles has the same issue. Paint on the front bumper is peeling off near the wheel wells.
